The stadium background is full of hidden things removed later on. Botsīots were included in the Alpha, as bots in the final version had named like Khan and Tex, they were just named "Bot" with a number. The soccer ball was styled to look like the ball in SARPBC Throwback Stadium. The Goalpost in the Alpha had its team color and name on it, but this was removed in the Beta. They could be earned during matches after earning certain in-game achievements. Antennas became more popular in the Beta. AntennasĪntennas were included in the Alpha. Toppers could be earned during matches after earning certain in-game achievements. Toppers were also in the Alpha, they had different names, but this got changed in the Beta. There was not much to choose from, but there was an ability to change your rocket booster/Engine, which got removed in the Beta. Wheels in the Alpha were more rigged in the Beta, these features were removed and revamped. Wheels were more customizable in the Alpha, as you could change the rim and the tire. Some, like Flames, stayed and were edited later on. Some other decals were normal, as the decals were edited and revamped in the Beta and Rocket League Release Candidate (In June). Some decals had the number 15, which was because Rocket League was planned for Spring 2015. Most Decals in the Alpha were similar to racing decals.

All cars but Backfire were renamed, and most cars got a minor visual upgrade, except for Octane, which got a major visual upgrade in December 2014/January 2015. CarsĬars like Octane, Gizmo, Hotshot, Backfire, and X-Devil were included in the Alpha. The rarities were originally planned to be Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

The Mid Alpha was an update on July 5th, 2014, with no major changes, even though the menu design was updated a few times, and more features were added. You needed to apply for an Alpha code/invite on Steam to play, It had just basic gameplay features. The Early Alpha got released on February 27, 2014, It was the first look of what Rocket League was. The game's title was later changed to Rocket League in February of 2014. People who originally played the Alpha had to restart their progress.
